何謂有機

相信大家都聽過「有機耕種」這名詞了,我們經常把它掛在咀邊的同時,大家又有否曾經深入去想想它究竟什麼呢?

「有機耕種」其實是一種順應自然、追求與天地融和、不反其生活規律的一種天然耕種方法。有機耕種者堅持不採用化學肥料、化學殺蟲劑或基因改造作物,目的是希望能生產農作物的同時,也能平衡大自然的生態及好好保護上天給我們的大地環境,使其能持續下去。

有很多人都很想問,為何有機作物的價格比一般的常規菜高呢?其實原因是﹕

(1) 人力資源投入龐大
(2) 為保持高質量,生產數量比常規菜較少
(3) 因天然災害導致的損失較大

有機菜又稱為良心菜,農民在生產有機作品的同時,亦會注重食用者的健康,全心全意為每位客人栽種出強壯及無污染的作物,令大家食得健康之餘又放心。

 

What is Organic Farming (O.F.)?

Most people would have heard of and read about the term “Organic Farming”, however, do they understand what it actually means?

Basically, the main concept of O.F. is natural-oriented. The methodology being used on farming should obey the rules of nature and should try not to violate the rule. Therefore, as an Organic Farmer, we persist on NOT using any chemical fertilizers and pesticides in our production processes and growing genetically-modified (GM) vegetables in our farms. The objective is to protect our natural environment and keep the balance of organisms, which ultimately sustains its sustainability for the future.

Most people would ask the reasons why the selling price of Organic Vegetable is higher than the normal ones. There are some referable reasonswhich are shown as follow:

  1. Huge input of human resources
  2. Low production quantity in order to keep the high quality
  3. Great loss due to natural disaster or bad weather

Organic Vegetable is also known as Conscientious Vegetable. Organic farmer always keep their mind of “Quality is rather than the Quantity”. The health of their product appreciators would be in the highest priority of their concern.
